About 84% share certain content because it is a way to support a certain cause or issue of their concern. Some people (78%) share information online because it lets them stay connected to people they might not interact with otherwise. However, about 49% share information on products they like to encourage an action or out of hope to change opinions.
Many people enjoy sharing their emotions with others to show exactly how they are feeling at that time. The most used emotions all over the web would be Awesome (25%), Laughter (17%), Amusement (15%) and Joy (14%).
The average amount of items shared to Facebook is 4.65 million daily. 66% of the total media sharing is done with the help of the Facebook iPhone app. If this is still of no surprise to you, then the number one reported life event by Facebook users is “adding a relationship”.
The bottom-line to this; the most uploaded/shared items to any social site whatsoever is photos. And they are majorly posted as support to certain cause or so that they can stay in touch with people they are not likely to otherwise.
